Income Assistance Navigation in Vancouver, British Columbia

Income Assistance Navigation, Vancouver, BC

Accessing income assistance can be overwhelming, especially for youth who are navigating complex life situations without consistent support. At Sage Nation Society, we’re here to walk alongside BIPOC (Black, Indigenous or People of Colour) youth aged 16–29 as they apply for, renew, or manage provincial income supports. Our approach is grounded in patience, care, and respect—recognizing that everyone’s journey looks different and that systems are often not built with our communities in mind.

We provide hands-on support with completing applications, gathering required documents, booking appointments, and following up with caseworkers. Whether it’s your first time applying or you’ve faced challenges with the system before, we’ll work with you at your pace to make sure you feel informed and supported throughout the process. No question is too small, and we’re here to help you advocate for what you need.

Income assistance can be a critical stepping stone toward stability, and we believe no one should have to navigate it alone. By offering consistent, culturally grounded support, we help youth reduce barriers and access the resources they’re entitled to—while reinforcing confidence, autonomy, and trust along the way.

If you're in Vancouver, British Columbia, and could use support with income assistance—or if you know a young person who might benefit from help navigating the system—we’re here to support you. Reach out to our team to learn more, or submit a third-party referral form to get the process started. Sometimes the first step is just knowing someone’s in your corner.
